Your Role at Raising Canes:

The Senior Tax Accountant plays a leading role in income, sales and property tax functions. This role supports the Director of Tax primarily with the income tax function and ensures the integrity of accounting practices within the organization.

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

• Maintains income tax compliance by preparing and filing income tax returns
• Analyzes fixed assets for tax savings and assists with the quarterly tax provision process
• Lead internal teams for projects with outside tax consultants and tax audits
• Maintains tax calendars and estimated payment deadlines for income tax filings
• Performs tax research and analysis for tax treatment of company transactions and operations
• Analyzes company financial statements for changes in book-to-tax adjustments
• Collaborates with the broader accounting team on tax related projects
• Serve as central point of contact with outside tax consultants on tax related projects

Requirements for Success:

• Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing
• Self-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with a Fortune 500 or, similar level private company tax compliance and reporting
• Passionate about tax and developing an understanding of how tax impact Raising Canes
• Proficient with MS Office, Onesource Income Tax or similar tax prep software
• Must have experience with large, multistate corporate or partnership income tax
• 3 years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax department
• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field, CPA a plus
