Project Superintendent
The Project Superintendent is a key role in our construction company, responsible for maximizing profits through efficient crew management, work organization, and subcontractor scheduling. Reporting directly to the President/Vice President, the Superintendent coordinates and schedules the work of crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to achieve maximum production in the most efficient manner.
Responsibilities
Planning & Coordination: Review schedules, prepare work plans, and look-ahead schedules for distribution to subcontractors and suppliers. Conduct pre-construction planning and on-site project meetings.
Supervision: Ensure foremen are qualified and efficiently carrying out their duties. Maintain a high standard of quality control and housekeeping practices.
Site Management: Set up job offices, obtain necessary permits, and ensure safety regulations are followed. Maintain a first aid kit on-site.
Documentation & Reporting: Generate RFIs, maintain project schedules, and keep inventory control over tools and equipment. Accurately complete daily reports and review workforce attendance.
Communication: Maintain good relationships with project managers, inspectors, architects, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders. Communicate sequence of activities to avoid scheduling lapses.
Problem-Solving: Assist foremen and subcontractors with issues, predict and mitigate potential problems, and secure the project each night.
Qualifications
Capable of reading and understanding project documents
Possess strong leadership skills
Knowledge of construction techniques, means, and methods
Understanding of efficient project completion methods
Ability to predict and mitigate problems
Conscientious attitude towards job cost control and project schedule adherence
Proficiency with site level or laser for job layout and surveying
Effective communication skills for timely coordination with subcontractors and suppliers
On-site presence required every day the project is working
Work Location: Most of the work is done in Southeast Louisiana.

Requirements
MUST HAVE:
5-10 years of Superintendent experience on $4,000,000-$8,000,000 commercial construction projects
Strong leadership skills
Computer literacy with willingness to learn ProCor software
Effective communication with internal leadership and subcontractors
Stable work history
NICE TO HAVE:
ProCor software experience is highly preferred
