Responsibilities:
- Design and coordinate all power and lighting distribution systems meeting project specifications under the guidance of a Professional Engineer (PE) on staff.
- Manage and schedule 3D modelers/2D Drafters (VDC/BIM modelers).
- Review, edit, and write project specifications under the guidance of a PE on staff.
- Generate and/or review production submittals against project specifications under the guidance of a PE on staff.
- Assist in the estimating process for electrical contractors by attending jobsite walk-throughs, defining scope, and generating bill of materials.
- Complete other tasks and duties as assigned by management.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- 2-5 years minimum experience with an electrical contracting company (preferred) and/or Architectural/Engineering firm required.
- Strong skills and proficiency in Revit software required.
- Proven experience with reviewing, editing, and writing project specifications required.
- Experience with generating and/or reviewing production submittals against project specifications required.
- Experience with walk-throughs, defining scope, and generating bill of materials required.
- Must be self-directed.
- Must also be able to manage others and possess strong communication skills.
- Ability to work cohesively with other departments within the company.
- Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and follow projects to completion.
- Strong problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to travel 10-20% of the time to jobsites in multiple states.
- Electrical Engineering degree.
- Candidates must come from other electrical contracting companies. Preferably electrical contracting companies that work in the industrial or heavy commercial fields.
- Revit proficiency – must be able to hit the ground running with Revit.
- PE license (will pay a higher salary for this).
- Annual bonuses.
