Job Description:
The Quality Manager develops, implements, and manages quality control systems to ensure continuous production of applications consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and production goals.
This role supervises a team of quality engineers, quality control inspectors, and the sorting department. The position ensures compliance with customer, internal, IATF 16949, and regulatory/legal requirements while overseeing the sorting department's staffing plan and daily production and quality issues.
Responsibilities:
Understand customer needs to develop effective quality control processes.
Devise and review product or process specifications.
Set and monitor compliance requirements for raw materials or intermediate products.
Conduct inspections and testing to ensure high productivity and technical integrity.
Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to establish quality and reliability standards.
Formulate, document, and maintain quality control standards and objectives.
Coordinate objectives with production procedures to improve reliability and minimize costs.
Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytics and reporting.
Participate actively in internal continuous improvement teams.
Design and implement quality control training programs.
Conduct Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA) to improve processes and eliminate causes of nonconformities.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify the source of problems.
Manage vendor interactions to ensure quality of purchased parts.
Oversee process certifications and inventory control (e.g., lasers, cameras, fixtures).
Sign off on weekly, monthly, and yearly check sheets.
Track daily quality issues and production targets.
Conduct annual reviews for sorting associates.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
Ability to stand and move continuously for 8–10 hour shifts.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, including out-of-area and overnight stays (e.g., for audits).

Requirements
Must Have:
Associate degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
7–10 years of progressive experience in automotive, fastener, and/or metal manufacturing industries.
Minimum 4 years of leadership experience or leadership development training.
Auditing experience (IATF 16949 preferred).
Proficiency in:Blueprint Reading, Quality Inspection, Machines, and Technologies.
Use of ERP Software and Quality Control Software.
Strong skills in:Minimum Process Requirements (MPR).
Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA).
Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Knowledge and adherence to OSHA and company safety guidelines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to Have:
OSHA Training.
Problem-solving and decision-making training.
