We already have 2 great Director of Health Services on our staff, we are looking for a third to complete the team. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Health Services to oversee the quality of care of our residents and oversee a Home Manager for one of our homes. As the Director of Health Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and happiness of our residents while upholding our commitment to person-centered care (no responsibility for scheduling). As the Director of Health Services, you will be responsible for:

1. Leadership and Management:

 · Provide strong leadership to Home Manager, caregivers, CNAs, and other support staff.

 · Foster a collaborative and compassionate work environment.

 · Empower staff to deliver exceptional, person-centered care.

 · Analyze staffing, scheduling, and performance data to optimize care delivery.

2. Clinical Oversight:

 · Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with best practices in dementia care.

 · Monitor and assess residents' health conditions.

 · Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and adjust care plans as needed.

 · Review referrals and complete pre-admission assessments.

 · Oversee medication administration.

 · Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and foster a safe and clean environment.

3. Family and Resident Engagement:

 · Establish and maintain effective communication with residents' families, addressing their concerns and keeping them informed of their loved one's well-being.

 · Promote resident engagement and quality of life through activities, programs, and personalized care plans.

4. Education and Training:

 · Provide ongoing education and training to staff on dementia care techniques, safety protocols, and best practices.

 · Stay up to date on the latest developments in dementia care and share this knowledge with the team.

5. Budget Management:

 · Participate in budget development and management, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maintaining high-quality care.

6. Rotating On-Call:

 · Rotate after hour and weekend support with other Rakhma Directors of Health Services. Majority of support is completed over the phone with Rakhma Homes. Flexible hours to be coordinated with two other DHS.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Registered nurse.

• Current RN licensure in Minnesota with at least five years of healthcare management experience, preferably in dementia or elderly care.

• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with dementia.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with assisted living.

• Proficient in regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of dementia care and the unique needs of dementia residents.

• LALD preferred (Licensed Assisted Living Director) - Rakhma is willing to support you on this journey.

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

 Physical Demands

• Frequent use of standard office equipment (telephone, computer, printer, fax, copy machine).

• Sitting for long periods of time and/or work on feet for long periods of time.

• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

• Standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting. Frequent full range of motion, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.

Working Conditions

• Office setting at one of our residences, or remote, as appropriate.

• Driving between residences, and other driving as related to the job, within metro area.
