Raleigh Court Health and Rehabilitation in Roanoke, VA is seeking a qualified individual to join our growing team as the Part-time Recreation / Activities Assistant.

As a Recreation Assistant, you are at the forefront of our ability to provide Care Beyond Compare by engaging residents in social and recreational activities to promote their overall well-being.

What you'll do

  • Support and motivate residents to engage in social, physical, and cognitive activities and adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of individual residents.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of social and recreational activities and programs for residents.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of activities and resident participation.
  • Transport residents to and from activities as needed and assist with the setup and cleanup of activity spaces.
  • Coordinate with other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to resident care.
  • Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.

What you need

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Creative and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in working with the elderly.
  • Knowledge of recreational therapy or related field is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
