This role supports the team in meeting financial, clinical and service goals. Schedule : Office is open seven days a week.
This role would consist of a 37.5 hour work week, between the hours of 8 : 00 am to close (approximately 6 : 30 pm). The schedule will be determined by the supervisor upon hire.
Location : -48 70th Road, Forest Hills, NY Primary Responsibilities : Demonstrate excellent customer service in welcoming and assisting patients and visitors Check patients in and out Obtain patient co-payments Schedule appointments Maintain heavy call volume Complete various patient, insurance or organizations forms effectively and efficiently Verify and scan patient insurance information Generate referrals as needed Function as an effective team member, working well alongside physicians, nurses and other ancillary staff Demonstrate courtesy to the patient at all times, incorporating C-I-CARE into all patient interactions Communicate effectively Work with integrity, uphold the company’s mission, values, and maintain confidentiality in all situations Performs other duties as assigned What are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group?

Required Qualifications : High School Diploma / GED (or higher) 1 years of customer service or healthcare related experience Intermediate computer proficiency (multi-task through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word) Preferred Qualifications : Technical or Associate’s degree in medical field 1 years of experience working in medical front office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in / out, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, and maintaining medical records Experience working with an electronic health record system (EPIC) Knowledge of Medical terms Knowledge of insurance carriers and managed care plans Bilingual in Spanish and English Pediatrics experience Soft Skills : Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others New York Residents Only : The salary range for New York residents is $16.
00 to $28.27 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
