Overview

The Claims Administrator is responsible for communicating appropriate information to internal and external customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Assist with reviewing claims for completeness and accuracy, identifying discrepancies or missing information
  • Answer claims phone calls and communicate through e-mail.
  • Respond to inquiries from policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders regarding the status of claims
  • Process and deliver all appropriate letters, forms, and correspondence to appropriate parties
  • Maintain and update records of all claims and related documents
  • Provide administrative support to the claims team and assist with special projects as needed
  • Participate in departmental, company, and team meetings as needed

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate independently and effectively
  • Ability to manage time effectively and the skill to organize and prioritize tasks to be completed as part of a fast-paced position
  • Possess strong computer skills
  • Ability to operate basic office machinery
  • Possess strong customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • High attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • 1 years of office experience preferred
