Job responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, cost accounting.
• Prepare and manage the Work In Progress schedule (WIP)
• Oversee and manage bi-weekly payroll processing.
• Prepare and manage cash flow.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monthly bank reconciliation.
• Prepare and review job cost reports.
• Manage fixed asset schedule.
• Assist with sales and use tax filings.
• Oversight of accounts receivable and monthly billings.
• Oversight of credit card program and reconciliation.
• Manage ERP sync with Procore
• Manage general ledger accounting functions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
• Work with external auditors, consultants, and firms.
• Work with project managers and senior management.
• Supervise accounting team.

Skills and Experience

• 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally with experience in month-end close, AP, AR, and Payroll
• Industry experience required (Construction, General Contractor - preferred)
• Knowledge of  Microsoft Outlook and Excel.

• Knowledge of Sage 100 Contractor, Procore, Bill.com a plus.

• Previous supervisory experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong Understanding of GAAP accounting standards
