Ramboll is a global multi-disciplinary engineering, design, and consultancy company. We truly support and encourage your professional development, invite you to unfold your ingenuity and contribute to exciting and innovative projects, and work for sustainable change so people and nature can flourish.

If this sounds like it’s for you, then this role could be the perfect opportunity! Join our Environment and Health department as our new Managing Consultant and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.

Your new role

As a Managing Consultant, you will join our team of scientists and engineers located in and associated with our Seattle, Washington office, or working remotely from Vancouver, Washington or Portland, Oregon.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare technical analyses of complicated site contamination, assessing nature and extent and transport and fate of contaminants
  • Assess emerging contaminant risks and impacts for sites and portfolios of sites.
  • Critically review and interpret environmental regulations, and evaluate regulatory compliance issues
  • Evaluate remedial alternatives and develop remedial action plans and cost estimates considering client needs, technical feasibility, and regulatory environment.
  • Support the assessment, valuation, management and reporting of environmental liabilities.
  • Work collaboratively with other Ramboll subject matter experts to prepare reports that effectively communicate analyses and findings, whether in the context of on-the-ground site work, desktop reviews, or litigation.
  • Lead and conduct multiple projects simultaneously and meet high quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Take on leadership roles in supporting internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrate leadership in implementing corporate health and safety standards.
  • Leverage experience and skill set to support training of other team members.
  • Draw upon prior experience to provide advisory support to industry, government, and legal clients, helping them to achieve better, more sustainable outcomes.

Your new team

As part of the team, you will be part of a creative group, filled with people who are really excited about solving clients’ problems and creating sustainable solutions for them. You will work with all levels of technical expertise from entry level team members to members with decades of experience, many of whom are subject matter experts in their own fields. And you will engage in a continual learning environment through coaching, mentoring, and on the job tasks.
