Since launching in early 2020, Ramp has experienced rapid organic growth, fueled in no small part by media coverage of our business growth and fundraising. We’re now looking for an experienced communications leader to own the next phase of our strategy and growth – further building out the team and elevating the craft of how we speak to the world - be it about our product, our customers, or internally to our team.
Partner with our CEO, customers, investors, and other leaders at Ramp to define the coming chapters of the company story.
Lead external relations, executive communications, and internal communications, and build a high-performing team of exceptional communicators.
Build brand awareness across earned and owned media, and refine and evolve our positioning. You’ll develop a media strategy and accompanying tactics that elevate Ramp in the fintech ecosystem and beyond.
Undertake scenario planning and forward-thinking strategic planning across a range of reputation, crisis, and brand matters.
Develop and maintain lasting relationships with key business & tech media so that they understand Ramp’s unique position in the financial services and software industry.
Advise the executive team on communications strategy and thought leadership opportunities – preparing them to maximize opportunities, including media interviews and public engagements (e.g. keynotes).
Support the execution of our broader marketing campaigns to extend their reach.
Manage the relationship with our external PR agency to maximize the value of the partnership.
Manage the organization's internal communication efforts, ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all channels.
10 years experience in fintech, financial services, technology, or startup communications
Strong management track record
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize
Experience working with business and technology media. In particular, crafting interesting narratives from complex topics and successfully pitching them
