Responsibilities

• Provide quality post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from ophthalmic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.

• Monitor vital signs, assess patient status, and manage post-operative pain as needed.

• Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

• Educate patients and their families about post-operative care instructions and potential complications.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

• Ensure compliance with clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety

Qualifications

 Valid RN license in the state of practice.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in post-anesthesia care or critical care nursing.

• Experience in ophthalmology or outpatient surgery preferred but not required.

• Current BLS and ACLS certification.

• Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
