Rand Health is Hiring a Research Operations Administrator I Near Washington, DC

Job Type: RegularThe Homeland Security Research Division (HSRD) is seeking a Research Operations Administrator (ROA) who will serve in the division Associate Quality Assurance Coordinator role and be responsible for executing a wide variety of detail-oriented activities within the Division. The ROA will work closely with the Quality Assurance Coordinator, the Research Quality Assurance Manager (RQAM), the HSRD Production Coordinator, Division production editor, and other supporting elements in the QA and publications process. They will also provide support and guidance to RAND research staff. The ROA may also serve as a backup for other operational components within the Division when required, as well as engage with other ROAs, Research Financial Administrators, and administrative assistants to facilitate any operational aspects of the Division’s financial obligations and requirements. Under the general direction and supervision of HSRD management, the ROA will perform various tasks related to operations including, but not limited to:Scheduling support for interactive QA review sessions and the Research Quality Assurance ManagerMaintain QA tracking database including schedules, status updates, and recordsAlert stakeholders to upcoming deadlinesServe as backup to Quality Assurance CoordinatorRecord meeting minutes Collecting data for various reports and providing basic qualitative and quantitative analysisQualificationsAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external parties. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailHigh level of discretion, integrity, and organization is critical due to the sensitive nature of the data and processes involved. Consistently meets deadlines, is comfortable working patiently with people at all levels, ability to multi-task and work as part of a highly cooperative team spanning RAND’s offices and time zones.Required technical skills: Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint, TeamsThis position requires the ability to obtain Fitness suitability background investigation through the Department of Homeland Security PreferredWorking knowledge of WorkdayExperienceMinimum 1 year of experience; 3 years preferredEducationHigh school degree requiredBA/BS degree preferredSalary range: $62,700- $93,500RAND considers a variety of factors when formulating an offer, including but not limited to, the specific role and associated responsibilities; a candidate’s work experience, education/training, skills, expertise; and internal equity.The salary range includes base pay plus RAND’s sabbatic pay (which provides additional compensation above base pay when vacation is taken).
