Randstad Digital is looking for a Flywheel Data Engineer! This role is with the team responsible for building new and innovative solutions that solve real word problems. As a software engineer on this team, you will work closely with other engineers and the management team to implement quick, but well-engineered, proofs of concept rooted in Data and AI.

Job Duties -
- Support development of a flywheel launchpad
- Build connectors for data lake population
- Work autonomously while still delivering expected results
- Write user stories to track applicable tasks related to initial data lake population
- Write and optimize SQL queries and procedures for data transformation and analysis
- Collaborate with data analysts and business users to understand data requirements and assist in data modeling
- Ensure the quality and integrity of data through testing and debugging
- Perform advanced data analysis, document and deliver insights to executive stakeholders
- Stay informed on data technology trends and provide recommendations for future actions
- Serve as a technology liaison and provide expert evaluation regarding potential external data tools and applications for consideration
Job Requirements -
- Outstanding collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Interest in the latest technologies and their potential for application to real world problems and use cases in Advantage's domain.
- Conversant with Python and related ecosystem, especially the set of libraries for data analysis; NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Plotly.
- Hands on experience working with Databricks (highly preferred), or Spark (acceptable).
- Ability to explore and reason about data using the above-mentioned tools.
- Must have at least an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Mathematics.
Desired Skills & Experience -
- Knowledge of and experience with Terraform in particular, and Azure in general is highly desirable.
- Experience working with one or more language models and improving outcomes with prompt engineering is desirable, but not required.
- Experience building AI agents using a framework like langchains is desirable, but not required.
- Agile delivery methodology
- Local to Chicago metro preferred
