Role & Responsibilities
In this highly dynamic role as a Safety Compliance Engineer, you will:
* Be self motivated and work with minimal direction
* Design for Safety and conduct product testing to 60950-1 and 62368-1 for Regulatory certification
* Perform PCB design layout and stack-up reviews
* Perform Schematic reviews
* Perform Product construction reviews
* Develop Safety compliance program plans, budgets and schedules
* Conduct or direct the internal investigation of Safety compliance issues
* Assess product, Safety compliance or operational risks and propose mitigation plans
* Participate in audits to ensure adherence to environmental standards
* Attend project team meetings and provide status and test schedule updates
* Communicate issues to product development team and drive issues to resolution
* File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies (UL/CSA)
* Maintain documentation of compliance activities, escalations and investigation of outcomes
* Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations and progress
* Review and provide oversight for JDM/ODM compliance test and deliverables
* Keep informed of industry changes, trends and assess impact on product shipments
Minimum Qualifications
* BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 3-5 years of related experience
* Knowledge and expertise in industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements (EMC, Safety, Telecom, NEBS etc)
*strong program management skills, proficient with Excel and Powerpoint
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, meeting facilitation, presentation and decision making
* Ability to work well in a team environment
* Knowledge of PCB design / layout / stack-up
Desired Skills
* Detail oriented with good organizational and relationship skills
* Good understanding of networking products
* Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast paced environment
* Hands on experience working in a lab environment / electrical testing
