Exciting contract position in Germantown. Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Sr Network Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to innovative network solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

salary: $50 - 54 per hour
work hours: 8am to 4pm
education: Bachelors
responsibilities:
- Design, implement, troubleshoot, and manage routing and switching of Enterprise Customers' terrestrial networks.
- Ensure the secure transmission of network traffic through network nodes.
- Work on different vendors like Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Velcloud, Cradlepoint products to build and manage Customer networks.
- Enable new features in networking devices and implement network systems improvements to enhance network performance and reliability.
- Configure and support Enterprise Customers' routers and switches with networking protocols to ensure seamless communication among network devices.
- Work on Windows and Linux servers to troubleshoot network issues and to analyze network performance.
- Perform firmware upgrades on networking devices for bug fixes and enhancements.
- Use Python Programming Language for config management in cloudify orchestration system and use Python to automate processes.
qualifications:
- Experience level: Experienced
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Education: Bachelors
