Lab Technician III – Clark, NJ

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON A W2

Job Description:

Assisting in formula development of skin care products (creams, lotions, serums, toners, SPFs) to bring to the market. Batch different formulation trials in the lab to evaluate texture, stability, and aesthetics. Set up and monitor stability to ensure the highest quality of products. Check formula specs (color, odor appearance, viscosity, pH, Microscope) to ensure formula stability.

Collaborate with support teams (analytical, microbiology, processing engineers, etc) to assist with formulation development and ensure quality of products.

Able to multitask throughout the day to handle multiple different tasks of the formulation process as well as multiple projects at the same time.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (Chemistry or related field)

0-3 years of experience

Strong interest in the cosmetic industry

Computer literacy

Excellent communication skills

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Team-player and positive attitude, and intellectually curious to learn.

Responsibilities

Adheres to set objectives and standards

Ordering raw materials, making batches and keeping track of experiments in lab notebook

Performs and tracks stability on all formulas made. Needs to be detail-oriented

Open communication to bring to the attention of the chemists/manager of any stability issues

Interface with support groups for testing requests via IT system

Term & Start

  • 6-month contract
  • FT, M-F 40hr/week
  • Pay Rate: $25/HR
  • Onsite in Clark, NJ
