An Industrial Engineer is needed for a biomedical/biotechnology engineering firm and multinational manufacturer of medical devices in the Alpharetta, GA area. This role is seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer with expertise in process optimization, layout design, and project management to support new building site transfer activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity goals through lean principles and proficiency in design software tools.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

Optimize process flow and facility layout for material handling and production using lean principles.

Analyze specifications and requirements for line design modifications and adjust layout plans accordingly.

Complete time studies, standard times, labor calculations, and estimate savings to measure the impact of process and layout changes.

Develop capacity planning tools and production models to quantify the impact of process and layout changes.

Execute operational readiness activities including 5S implementation, production area signage, material flow optimization, and compliance with safety and quality requirements.

Develop site signage according to global branding standards.

Apply project management skills (scope, schedule, cost) and collaborate with cross-functional partners to execute projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Skills:

Proficiency in layout design and development software tools and programs (e.g., AutoCAD, DraftSight, Microsoft Products Suite).

Quality mindset, attention to detail, and collaborative approach.

Project management skills.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering or similar field.

Minimum 2 years of proven experience, less than 2 years will not be considered.
