Job Summary
Civil/Structural Engineer for a company that provides Transmission and Distribution products and services for the electrical power industry. Our client is located near Birmingham, AL. We are seeking an energetic Civil-Structural Engineer who will be responsible for the design of transmission line/substation structures and foundations.

Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Engineering (Civil or Structural is preferred)
- Must have at least (3) years of civil/structure design experience
- Experience in the design with STAAD or equivalent software
Preferred
- Registered PE License (or EIT with ability/desire to obtain PE)
- Transmission structure and/or substation design experience
- Experience using PLS-CADD / PLS-POLE software
Responsibilities
- Design of transmission line/substation structures and foundations
- Required to interpret written client specifications and be able to assist in the preparation of Preliminary Designs and Proposals.
- Responsible for carrying out project management from onset of the contract through the delivery of the product or completion of the project
- Design of EHV, HV, and MV transmission structures using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE software
