job summary :
We are searching for a Maintenance Technician in the St. Louis area to work for a chemical manufacturing client. Candidates should have 3 years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
This is a 3rd shift direct hire role with great benefits.
responsibilities :
- Operates and observes equipment for the purpose of trouble shooting problems and testing performance of equipment.
- Reads work orders and sees that jobs are performed per work order. Asks questions if work order is not clear.
- Sets up and operates drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Repairs equipment rebuilds equipment and adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Installs equipment, devices, and instruments.
- Performs preventative maintenance such as lubricating equipment, changing filters, inspecting parts for wear and cleaning equipment.
Logs preventative maintenance activity in preventative maintenance program records.
