Civil Structural Designer hybrid remote opportunity with a client located in the Birmingham, AL area. This role will work closely with the Engineering team to design and analyze new or existing substation and transmission line structures and foundations. The client is open to a broad range of translatable experiences. The client offers a solid benefits plan.

responsibilities:

• Provide quality designs for Transmission Substation and Line projects, including foundations and structures
  
• Work closely with the engineering team in preparing designs to support the process
  
• Work on multiple projects with various priorities and competing deadlines
  
• Satisfactorily complete project documentation
  
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Graduate from a college or university with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (or equivalent), or 2 to 4 years of experience and Associate Degree in Engineering Technology (or equivalent), or 5 to 10 years equivalent experience with no degree
  
• Proven Autocad and-or Microstation skills (Inventor 3D, Revit, or Civil 3D Microstation all a plus)
  
• Experience with detailing, connections design or exposure, and exposure to equipment foundations for industrial, heavy industrial, utility, or similar applications
  
• Working knowledge of AISC, ASCE, ACI codes
  
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal team members
  
• Time management skills sufficient to manage multiple projects
