Responsibilities
- Responsible for greeting patients and visitors
- Ensure the completion of all patient information, insurance, and financial forms
- Coordinate patient appointment scheduling
- Obtain all necessary insurance information from patients when applicable
- Establish/maintain accurate patient accounts in a computerized database, and answer the multi-line telephone
- Prepare patient medical charts
- Checkout patients including collecting co-pays/deductibles/payments
- Responsible for copying patient records, scanning documentation for patient records and filing correctly in the patient chart
- Obtain referrals/authorization/pre-certification when needed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 6 months of healthcare/related experience and/or training in general clerical work
- Computer Experience: MS Office, Word and Excel
- Epic experience
