Randstad is seeking a talented Research Associate to work in a high throughput / sample production lab. This lab processes 4 million samples per year with fast turn-around times. As the successful candidate you will work with a large production team to deliver daily and weekly genotyping targets. Work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday from 2:00pm - 10:00pm. You will work onsite in St. Louis, Missouri. Relocation cost reimbursement is not available, local candidates are preferred.

Responsibilities
As the selected candidate, you will perform a variety of laboratory technical tasks. Primarily you will be responsible for operating manual and automated lab processes in a library creation lab. The role may also include additional various tasks in sample prep, sequencing, qPCR, general lab stocking and supply upkeep.
Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field of study with 1-2 years of related post graduate experience.
• .Automation/mechanical aptitude: Must be comfortable running and troubleshooting automation independently with little guidance on this shift. Biologists with engineering/technical aptitudes are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate skills in Office Applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; Advanced/Proficient skills in Excel.
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
