We are looking for an entry-level solderer to join our early shift (4AM-12:30PM). Be a part of our team in a relaxed but dedicated work environment. No experience necessary. We provide training. Possible alternate shift available after sufficient training/experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Solder components in flat positions.
• Melt and apply solder along adjoining edges of workpieces to solder joints, using gas torches.
• Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
• Examine workpieces for defects to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Connect and turn regulator valves to activate and adjust gas flow and pressure so that desired torch flames are obtained.
• Monitor the fitting and soldering processes to avoid overheating of parts.
• Mark or tag material with proper identifying marks as required.
• Prepare all material surfaces to be soldered, ensuring there is no looseness or any rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter.
• Guide and direct flames on or across to align workpieces.
• Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.
• Clean using wire brushes.
• Check grooves and angles.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Good Near Vision.
• Arm-hand Steadiness.
• Manual Dexterity.
• Finger Dexterity.
• Able to speak and read English.
• Able to do basic math.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, turn, twist, and/or stoop.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
