Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and drive the growth of our Azure solutions and Managed Services market in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, a deep understanding of Azure technologies, and a proven track record of generating new business within the service delivery industry. This role requires a proactive approach to identify and close new opportunities, build relationships with key decision-makers, and achieve sales targets. Candidates in Sydney and Melbourne are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for Azure solutions and Managed Services within the Professional Services industry
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed your sales target.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored Azure solutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to understand product capabilities and translate technical features into business benefits for clients.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements for both clients and the company.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts using CRM software.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and generate leads.
  • Provide regular updates to management on sales progress, challenges, and market insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Representative (New business Development) or similar sales role, referably within the service delivery industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure technologies and solutions, with the ability to understand and articulate their business value.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Client-centric, excellent listening skills and ability to ask the relevant questions
  • Team player, works collaboratively with solutions specialists, legal, finance, and management
  • Entrepreneurial, pro-actively develops new opportunities and drives deals forward
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Fundamentals).
  • Experience working in a service delivery or IT consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft stack, cloud computing concepts and trends.
