Job Position: Pre-Press and Ink Technician

Location: Crystal Lake, IL 60014

Shift: 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Description:

We are immediately hiring in Crystal Lake, IL for a Pre-Press and Ink Technician on the 1st Shift. As a Pre Press/Ink Tech, you will gather material and equipment needed for next Flexo press job, stage upcoming printing job, maintain ink room and monitor supply, weigh and set up ink, and help set up press for production of printing on Tyvek, nylon, and LDPE film from start-up to final pass using our PCMC Vision G, 40-inch wide,8-color, center impression Flexo press. You will be working Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

You will be working for a leading simple-stop supplier capable of laminating, printing, slitting, sheeting, die-cutting, and fabricating flexible sterilizable bags and pouches. Pre-Press / Ink Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Pull files to stage upcoming scheduled printing job
• Gather and prepare required materials and equipment for next scheduled Flexo press job
• Clean and stage all Anilox rollers
• Correctly store and label all ink in inventory
• Maintain ink room and monitor all ink supply
• Weigh and document all ink consumed following each press run
• Complete monthly EPA required consumption report
• Process all ink orders as needed
• Organize and mount plates
• Help the press operator to setup/run the press
• Additional duties as assigned

Pre-Press / Ink Technician Qualifications and Requirements

• 3 years of related experience as a Pre-Press/ Ink Technician
• Must be 18 years old and pass our pre-employment reading and ruler test
• Proficient in MS office and Ink software preferred
• Ability to read and interpret measurements up to 1/16th of an inch using a ruler or a tape measure
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds without help
• Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of colors and brightness
• Ability stand throughout the whole shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.92 - $23.99 per hour
