DescriptionJob Title: Regional Controller
Location: St. Louis, MO
Reporting to: CFO
Salary: $110,000.00-$120,000.00
Job SummaryThe Regional Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a specific region or area within the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will provide financial leadership and guidance to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting and controls. The Regional Controller will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance, optimize processes, and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations within the assigned region, ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports for the region, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to the CFO and senior management.
  • Monitor and review the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions, ensuring proper recording, classification, and documentation.
  • Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, coordinating with the corporate finance team to meet reporting deadlines.
  • Manage and develop a team of financial professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and HR, to understand business drivers, assess financial impacts, and support decision-making.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and drive initiatives to enhance financial reporting efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Support the CFO in strategic financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial projections.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to proactively address potential financial risks and opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation is preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience in a regional or multi-site finance role is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and reporting tools, such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives and familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
