RareCyte is Hiring a Manufacturing Technician/Material Handler Near Seattle, WA

We're looking for a Manufacturing Technician/Material Handler responsible for consumable medical device assembly, inspection, packing, and shipping of consumables used in the biotechnology industry using precision tools, measurement equipment, and calibration hardware. This includes mechanical assembly by fine tuning of product components to measured specifications, handling inbound and outbound materials for external and internal customers, as well as accurate and complete record keeping. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving ability along with attention detail is key to success in this position. The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday, 4 - 10 hour days with an arrival time by 8am (earliest would be 7am arrival).

Our discovery/translational/diagnostic applications have been adopted by leading research institutions and BioPharma companies world-wide for research and clinical programs in the areas of oncology, immunology, maternal-fetal health, and infectious disease.
Responsibilities:
    • Perform mechanical assembly of single-use medical devices in a manufacturing environment at a fast, but accurate pace
    • Follow written instructions such as assembly drawings, instructions, and detailed pictures
    • Perform quality checks and complete Device History Record (DHR) documentation
    • Use microscopes, computer/electronic equipment, and small hand tools to complete repetitive assemblies of small, precision medical devices that conform to a specified tolerance
    • Manage inbound materials by following receiving, inspection, and handling protocols
    • Ship products to internal and external customers in an accurate and timely manner (assembly, kitting, packaging, and shipping)
    • Responsible for equipment and calibration logs maintenance
    • Communicate quality issues, file Non-Conforming Material Reports, and assist with corrective actions
Qualifications:
    • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred) or an associate degree in a technical field
    • Experience with shipping/receiving using delivery services companies such as FedEx, UPS, etc. (International shipping experience a plus)
    • Experience with microscope inspection processes and small hand tools required for mechanical assembly
    • Ability to read, follow, and provide feedback to written instructions and procedures, occasionally creating or updating documentation to current best practices
    • Ability to follow inventory control procedures (lot control, serialized parts, expiration of materials, etc.)
    • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office, in addition to experience with ERP systems and eQMS preferred
    • Self-starter mentality and ability to work primarily in an independent environment
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organization skills
    • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience a plus
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for a short duration, work standing up for extended periods with bending and stooping occasionally
Compensation:
Pay Range: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour (annualized full-time pay is $47,840 - 58,240/year)
The base pay/salary range represents an estimated range for this position in the Seattle area. Determining a base wage will be based on several factors which include skill set, level of education, experience and qualifications, as well as the comparison to existing RareCyte employees in the position. Some roles may also qualify for additional compensation such as bonus, commission, stock options and travel allowance.
