Job Description :

Responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and upkeep of computer numerical control (CNC) machines in a manufacturing facility.

The primary responsibilities of the job include :

  • Performing regular maintenance on CNC machines : This involves inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machines to ensure they operate efficiently and accurately.
  • Diagnosing and repairing machine problems : The technician is responsible for identifying and troubleshooting issues with CNC machines, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and software-related problems.
  • Conducting preventive maintenance : The technician should schedule and perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent machine downtime and minimize repair costs.
  • Keeping records of machine maintenance : This includes documenting maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts used to maintain an accurate maintenance history.
  • Ordering and stocking machine parts : The technician should ensure that necessary parts are ordered and stocked to minimize machine downtime.
  • Collaborating with machine operators and other CNC setup personnel : The technician should work with other CNC Setup personnel to troubleshoot and solve machine issues and communicate with machine operators to identify potential problems.
  • Adhering to safety standards : The technician should follow established safety procedures, LOTO and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements

Requirements and Qualifications :

  • Associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in maintenance and repair of CNC Lathe, Mill, Grinders, Hydraulic Broach, Saw machines, Overhead crane, Forklift and miscellaneous equipment.
  • Familiarity with various CNC software interfaces, such as FANUC and SIEMENS
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Must be able to commute to 23 Mile and Schoenherr - Shelny Township, Michigan
  • Own Toolbox is a huge plus.

Compensation is based on experience.
