Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of products and materials to our customers. Your attention to detail and ability to multi-task will be crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping department.
As a Shipping Associate, you will work closely with our warehouse team to process incoming and outgoing shipments. You will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of shipment contents, preparing shipping labels and documentation, and ensuring that all shipments are packaged securely to prevent damage during transit. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating with our carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, track shipments, and resolve any issues that may arise.
Responsibilities

• Verify the accuracy of shipment contents, including product quantities and descriptions
• Prepare shipping labels and documentation, ensuring all necessary information is included
• Package shipments securely to prevent damage during transit
• Must be able to learn UPS or Fed Ex shipping equipment, including international shipping
• Able to be forklift certified
• Resolve any issues that may arise during the shipping process, such as missing or damaged items
• Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to use basic high school math skills
• 6 months shipping experience or 12 months of general factory work
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Familiarity with shipping software and systems is a plus

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
