Position overview

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of Raw Seafood’s equipment and facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform repair of Raw Seafood Inc.’s mechanical system as well as carry out regular inspection of building facilities to ensure they are operational and efficient.
• Participate in the hiring process along with employee evaluations.
• Oversee the delegation of tasks to maintenance personnel to ensure smooth business operations.
• Contract and supervise temporary or third-party personnel to ensure duties are effectively performed.
• Design and implement preventative maintenance programs which reduce the risk of equipment failure and maximize productivity.
• Identify new and advanced equipment that will serve as better alternatives for the replacement or upgrade of worn-out machines.
• Oversee the management of maintenance budget, expenses, and equipment depreciation.
• Manage the process of disposal of worn-out/damaged machinery as well as the installation of new equipment
• Keep accurate records of maintenance logs and provide reports on daily operations.

Working relations:

• Works closely with Senior Management, Quality Assurance, Production, Research & Development, Warehousing departments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in management disciplines such as Business Management, Facility Management, or a related field. Or a combination of work experience and education which proves proficiency in the field.
• Intermediate computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets.
• Experience and understanding of food ingredients, allergens, nutritional labels and governmental regulations set forth by the USDC, USDA, FDA and BRC.
• Ability to conduct equipment inspections to identify and facilitate/conduct repair of machinery.
• Ability to identify machine faults or building hazards and initiate repairs and adjustment as needed.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish fact and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to make quick, educated decisions regarding product quality.
• Ability to lift 50-lbs. routinely.
• Ability to make decisions and work out problems in a short time frame.
• High attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, willingness to be flexible and ability to handle multiple situations simultaneously.
