Job Summary

The Line Cook and Food Prep are responsible maintaining all aspects of the line area and food items in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all aspects of the line area and food items
  • Provide a positive, consistent leadership role model to hourly staff
  • Use check lists to ensure proper set-up and close down of each shift
  • Follow and use all food safety procedures and logs
  • Follow all food rotation and re-stocking procedure using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in the USA and proper documentation
  • Graduate of a culinary institute, military school or formal on-the-job training preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience required
  • Experience with quantity food preparation preferred
  • Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to stand for long period so time, lift 50 lbs., and bend, climb, reach overhead, and work in confined spaces
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
  • You must have organizational and time management skills and demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
