Our top performing national law firm is seeking for a paralegal with experience in commercial real estate to join our Baton Rogue team. This role involves supporting attorneys in various legal tasks related to business transactions. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and be proficient with technology, especially in the context of real estate, contracts, and transactional law.

In this position, the paralegal will be responsible for assisting in complex commercial real estate and corporate transactions. Duties include creating and managing disbursement statements, closing documents, and title policies. The role requires experience in all aspects of the pre-closing and post-closing processes for real estate and finance transactions, including title review, coordinating with title companies and other legal entities, and preparing final documents. Additionally, the paralegal will draft various legal documents, such as UCC financing statements, contracts, and corporate resolutions, and will manage post-closing matters, including the preparation of closing binders.

Candidates for this position should have at least a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for those who have completed a four-year degree or paralegal studies certification. A background of 3-5 years in a similar role, particularly in the business or corporate sector, is preferred. Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Office and document management systems, are essential. The ability to manage time effectively, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines is crucial for success in this role.

The position also demands a high level of confidentiality, independence, and collaboration with attorneys, clients, and other staff members. Meeting billing requirements and maintaining the quality and quantity of work are also important performance metrics for this role.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
