PositionSummary

Estimator must be able toproduce detailed estimates in a timely manner and assist innegotiations with insurance adjusters.

Must remain current onmarketplace developments insurance adjusting practices buildingcode changes and estimating technology advances.

Hours : 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM Monday through Friday (somedays may require more than 8 hours; some weeks may requireadditional workdays).

Will vary depending on the amount of estimaterequests coming into the office. May require long hours throughoutthe year.

Job requires effective oral and written communicationskills combined with excellent listening skills. Must be able tomeet multiple conflicting deadlines.

Must be selfmotivated able toset and achieve goals independently with minimum supervision. Musthave working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Xactimate is aplus. Quickbooks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate all construction deficiencies located atMultifamily properties and determine improvements necessary forcode compliance and to meet applicable minimum propertystandards.
• Create comprehensive scope of workto repair property issues as requested by management.
• Work with Senior Estimator to ensure the customerreceives an accurate cost estimate of damages.
• Complete forms necessary for the delivery of a completebid package and follow customer scope of workaccurately.
• Inspect job sites with client andadjuster to prepare detailed scopes of work and repair estimates inXactimate in a timely manner.
• Communicateeffectively and negotiate settlements with insuranceadjusters.
• Facilitate communications betweenthe adjuster and the client.
• ProvideOperations with appropriate scopes of work. Help with hard costestimating.
• Work with office staff to ensurethey have all the proper documentation during each phase of thebidding process.
• Assist in providing properinformation for invoicing.

Includes understandingMultiFamily construction drawings and specifications.

• Must be familiar with quantity material and labor takeoffmeans and methods.
• Use critical thinking andproblem solving to recognize construction issues as well asidentify solutions to repair the constructiondeficiencies.
• Perform other duties of asimilar nature and level as assigned by lead Estimator or RegionalDirector of Construction.
