At Collins Aerospace, we are looking for a Senior Supply Chain commodity manager will support overall sourcing and business objectives for direct product categories. In this role you will lead the development and implementation of strategy execution to improve Long Term Agreement coverage, supplier performance, product cost reduction, management and execution of supplier agreements and monitor the compliance to those agreements across the business unit and sites.
There is a strong preference for this role to be onsite in Uniontown, OH, or Phoenix, AZ. However, a hybrid model (typically 2-4 days in the office) may be considered for the ideal candidate. Travel is expected to be around 25%. This role may be eligible for relocation.
What You Will Do
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategy execution to improve Long Term Agreement coverage, supplier performance, product cost reduction, management and execution of supplier agreements and monitor the compliance to those agreements across the business unit and sites
  • Ensure contract negotiations drive cost savings target.
  • Successfully Led cost reduction and cost management process.
  • Align and obtain stakeholder approvals for negotiation sandboxes.
  • Lead Operational Procurement, Engineering and Program management to ensure the successful introduction of new programs and successful transfer of production requirements to new suppliers.
  • Lead Team(s) with leadership from other Business Units and the corporate commodity organization to develop broad based commodity or supplier strategies.
  • Drive standardization and strategy with a deep level of understanding around complex part groups.
What you will Learn
  • This role will work closely with transitions and execution teams as well as with key stakeholders such as plant managers, shop floor operators, finance, corporate sourcing managers, and category managers.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Contract negotiation experience
  • Experience using cost sensitivity to improve bottom line
  • Experience managing or leading projects or programs including contract negotiations with minimal supervision
  • Experience developing tactical plans and carrying through to successful execution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications specifically expert level Excel
  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Experience communicating and present to senior leadership
  • Experience with a variety of commodities, or a focus on Engineered Items or Electronics

Employee Referral Eligible
The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
