Raytheon is seeking Ground System Software Engineers to work and contribute on our classified programs. Our teams adapt to evolving customer and warfighter needs. The position works in a SCIF environment with flexible work hours to accommodate work/life balance practices.

What You Will Do

• Design and develop software for satellite ground systems.

• Experience with the full software lifecycle including design, development, test, delivery, and maintenance.

• Work with modern Developer Security Operations development practices and utilize Agile processes

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior software engineering experience.

• Experience developing software using C or Java.

• Experience working with LINUX or UNIX operating systems

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Knowledge of satellite command and control software

• Background in planning and scheduling algorithm implementation

• Understanding of Agile development and software engineering best practices.

• Background in microservices, Kubernetes, and containerized applications

• Experience delivering application software

• Experience modernizing legacy systems

• Experience working with COTS/FOSS and performing COTS/FOSS upgrades

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
