Job Description

Job Title: Physical Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, planning, and implementing effective treatment programs to restore movement and improve patients' quality of life. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping patients relieve pain, regain strength, and achieve their physical goals.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose patients' physical limitations and develop individualized treatment plans.

2. Utilize various therapeutic techniques to address patients' impairments, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training.

3. Provide expert guidance and support to patients, educating them on injury prevention, self-care, and correct body mechanics.

4. Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and develop holistic treatment approaches.

6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

7. Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills through participation in professional development activities and staying up-to-date with the latest research in physical therapy.

8. Adhere to all industry regulations, professional standards, and best practices to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.

9. Empower patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation process, promoting independence and self-management.

10. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients and their families, fostering a positive and supportive therapeutic environment.

11. Work closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and deliver comprehensive care.

12. Stay informed about advancements in equipment and technology relevant to physical therapy, incorporating them into treatment plans when appropriate.

13. Actively contribute to the growth and development of the physical therapy department through participation in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings.

14. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following infection control and safety protocols.

15. Demonstrate exceptional professionalism, ethical conduct, and effective communication skills when interacting with patients, colleagues, and the broader healthcare team.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

2. Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.

3. CPR certification.

4. Proven experience in evaluating and treating patients with diverse physical conditions and injuries.

5. Excellent knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.

6. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop effective treatment plans.

7. Exceptional manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform therapeutic techniques.

8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.

9. Empathy and patience to work with patients facing physical challenges.

10. Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and handle a diverse caseload effectively.

11. Knowledge of insurance documentation and billing procedures.

12. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.

13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

14. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with relevant literature and research.

15. High level of ethical standards and adherence to professional conduct guidelines.
