Residential Construction Superintendent

RC Homes, Inc. is a Los Angeles based homebuilder of select communities in Southern California. We are seeking a Residential Construction Superintendent to manage construction of attached single-family homes. The Construction Superintendent will initially be responsible for construction of a 37-unit three-story duplex/triplex project in the San Pedro neighborhood of City of Los Angeles, CA. They will direct and coordinate all construction and associated inspections of their projects, under our General Contracting license. Applicants should embrace working in a high-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a small and dynamic team. We are continually expanding and this position will offer growth opportunities for capable candidates. Strong candidates will have at least 5 years of field experience with a focus on attached 3-story residential homebuilding.

Responsibilities

  • On-site management of the construction of 37 3-story attached homes in San Pedro, CA, from framing to yard landscape and certificate of occupancy, in accordance with approved plans, budgets and schedules. Provides input on budget and schedule efficiencies to meet the overall Project goals.
  • Responsible for job site organization and appearance. ("Maintain it like you own it").
  • Maintain permit and inspection records, record and coordinate material and equipment deliveries, track consultant and vendor personnel on a daily basis, update and monitor all agency required reporting (including Illness & Injury Prevention Program).
  • Communicates field activities with Agency contacts, Consultants, Vendors, and Sales personnel. Provide weekly Project progress updates, to be reviewed during weekly progress meetings.
  • Implement and manage S.W.P.P.P. and A.Q.M.D. measures and compliance.
  • Communication with the Director of Construction, through weekly written status reports.
  • Schedule and coordinate pre and post closing warranty work with responsible Vendors.
  • Provide turnover documents (new home appliance and equipment maintenance manuals and related records) to new home warranty company.
  • Schedules and participates in municipal inspections to achieve acceptance of improvements.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing field operations of new home, attached for-sale tracts required.
  • Pride in quality workmanship, detailed and results oriented.
  • Organized with correspondence and documentation.
  • Team player with excellent people and motivational skills.
  • Knowledge of construction practices and specifications with 5 years of experience in residential development trades.
  • OSHA 30 Certification required but maybe obtained during employment
  • College preferred in engineering or construction management.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel software.
  • Extensive record-keeping abilities to provide a daily synopsis of the work completed, by whom, and with how many personnel.
  • Ability to communicate and work with individual consultants and vendors

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
