I-RISE Case Manager - Refugee Resettlement - R&P Program - Interfaith-RISE - Reformed Church of Highland Park Affordable Housing Corporation
Position Description
The Case Manager provides case management to refugee families, inclusive of pre-arrival planning through the first 90 days of core services, and services to longer-term resettlement clients. The Case Manager will be responsible for collaborating with service directors to ensure clients work toward achieving their goals and attaining self-sufficiency. Case managers will be assigned to either Reception and Placement, Refugee Support Services, Matching Grant or Refugee Cash Assistance.
Bilingual Spanish/English or Arabic/English speaking candidates strongly preferred.
Compensation
This position is 40 hours/week at $47,500/year plus health insurance and benefits.
Responsibilities
· Administer the R&P/MG program to IRISE clients in southern N.J.
· Assist with maintaining case files as required by each program and assure compliance in line with auditing/monitoring.
· Assist with training and onboarding of new R&P/MG staff as needed.
· Prepare/Assist with submission of reporting with program director including.
· MG Self-Sufficiency 180th/240th.
· Daisy Period Reports.
· Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly Reports as needed.
· Ensure file compliancy at 30/90 days from DOA for all R&P clients.
· Provide guidance to case managers regarding file and case note compliancy, and ensure revisions are completed in a timely manner.
· Meet timelines and deadlines related to supporting systems and employee compliance.
· Assure that regular case management meetings are scheduled with clients (minimum of once per month). Conducting client check-ins as needed to assure compliance and quality service.
· Serving as the first point-of-contact for client issues/complaints and reporting to program director as needed for further follow-up.
· Provide direct supervision/regular meetings with R&P/MG Staff.
· Assist with housing coordinator for R&P SJ arrivals as needed.
· Hold a small caseload on an as needed basis for high maintenance cases.
· Driving to sites to conduct regular visits.
· Moving items and assisting with set-ups.
· Assisting with handling various amounts of cash and following proper procedures.
· Working with clients that speak varying languages.
· Ability to use translation apps to regularly communicate with clients.
· Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
· Master’s degree in social work or equivalent work experience.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Experience working with diverse populations, including non-English speaking clients, and individuals from various faith, cultural, and social backgrounds.
· Ability to multi-task and creatively problem solve, and ability to work in a fast-paced and vibrant environment required.
· Bilingual Spanish/English or Arabic/English preferred.
