REACH 907 Behavioral Health Clinical Associate Job Description

Overview: This position will work primarily in the schools, clinic and community with children for early intervention services or regular Community Recovery Support Services, this position will assist in skills building and supporting the treatment plan. The Behavioral Health Associate (BHA) will communicate effectively and independently plan, schedule and conduct program activities, complete activity documentation within established time frames and adhere to HIPAA/42 CFR regulations. The BHA will be expected to consistently relate in a positive, courteous and caring manner to the individuals we serve as well as to team members and coworkers at all levels. The BHA is expected to address individual and community-based behavioral health needs, including those related to substance use as well as mental health problems.

Job Status: Begins Part-Time, Builds to Full-Time if Desired, Professional Development Assistance Provided

Job Pay: $18/Hourly Wage Dependent Upon Age, Skill and Experience, Annual Wage Increases and Bonus Pay Provided

Supervisor: Executive Director

Minimum Education and Experience Qualifications:

  • Education/Credentials: Highschool Diploma/GED; prefer Associate’s degree or Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, sociology, family studies, early childhood education or a related field; active progress towards TBRI trauma training
  • Prefer two years of related experience working with children; especially those with ACES/history of trauma.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

Certification/Licensing & Other Requirements (not required before hire):

  • Trainings
  • Trust-Based Relational Intervention training
  • First Aid/ CPR
  • Blood Bourne Pathogen
  • HIPAA
  • Incident Reporting
  • DHSS Mandated Reporting
  • Current First Aid/CPR and Blood Bourne Pathogen certification and every two years following hire.
  • AKAIMS training (Ongoing)
  • Current TB Screening test document and every year following hire
  • Current Interested Persons Report/Background History Check and every three years following hire.
  • Current confidentiality acknowledgement
  • National Identification Number (NPI)
  • Three references and work/volunteer history required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 45 per week
