JOB TITLE: Software Engineer - Avionics Operating System

HYBRID WORK OPTIONS AVAILABLE!

ABOUT THE JOB:

Modify an avionics operating system and application layer to accept a configuration file created by an offline, PC-based tool. The configuration file is intended to modify the behavior of the avionics subsystem without modification to the avionics embedded software. The avionics subsystem will read the configuration file and modify the subsystems behavior accordingly.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field
• 5 years embedded software development experience
• Experience with C/C programming
• Experience developing / modifying embedded operating systems
• Understanding of application layer interface to the operating system
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and takes initiative to get things done
• Good positive interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with remote team members

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience with safety critical systems
• Experience with DO-178 life cycle development
