What You'll Do:

  • Lead, Manage, Hold Accountable (LMA): You will be the leader of a small accounting team, and during tax season, a large team of tax professionals and administrative assistants. You will be responsible for your team's productivity and engagement level. All "LMA" Team Members attend a monthly workshop to grow their LMA skills and collaborate with other Team Leaders.
  • Accounting: You will be responsible for collecting, tracking, and correcting financials for our business entities', ensuring that all financial records are accurate throughout the year. Categorizing and reporting data accurately and in a user-friendly format is a critical part of your role to support the Leadership Team in making critical financial decisions.
  • Tax & Accounting Services: You will be responsible for servicing our clients' tax & accounting needs. You will manage tax season from a high level, ensuring all team members know what their priorities are and can work efficiently and productively, as time is of the essence in this season! Throughout the year, you will manage a small book of business for bookkeeping, payroll, and tax consultation services for several clients.
  • Client Care & Experience: You will be responsible for ensuring client requests are handled quickly and accurately. Your goal is to make clients feel as though they are 'in the know' of their request and that they trust we're the right people to handle the job for them. You will collaborate with our Client Services team (made up of team members from each of our member firms), ensuring all team members are on the same page with what clients' expectations are and how to meet & exceed them.
  • Reporting & Optimization: Beyond the normal financial reports, you will regularly update the Monthly Operating Report, which includes the company budget, cashflow forecast, employee engagement, client satisfaction, and other important metrics that the Leadership Team uses to make critical decisions for the company. One of your first projects will be to assist in building and maintaining an employee bonus plan by the end of this year (2024).
  • Project Management: You will assist in managing special projects, conducting research, preparing reports, and providing data analysis. Your contributions will drive key initiatives forward.
