Job Title: Desktop and End User Support Specialist

Job Summary:

The Desktop and End User Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to end users in an organization, ensuring that all desktop systems, software, and peripherals are functioning properly. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, communication skills, and the ability to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware and software
• Provide technical support to end users for issues related to desktop systems, applications, and peripherals
• Resolve technical problems in a timely manner to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with IT team members to escalate and resolve complex technical issues
• Document support tickets and solutions in a ticketing system
• Assist with training end users on new systems and software
• Maintain inventory of desktop equipment and software licenses
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on desktop systems

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
• 2 years of experience in desktop support or a related field
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Technical certifications (e.g. CompTIA A ) are a plus
