Position Overview:We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Summer Marketing and Sales Intern to join our team. This intern will play a crucial role in promoting and selling our cyber security software product to enterprise clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to gain hands-on experience in the cyber security industry, particularly in marketing and sales.
Duration and location: June, 2024 - September, 2024. Ideally, the chosen candidate will be from Seattle (primary) or DC area, as some on-site attendance will be necessary, even though the positions is primarily remote.
Salary: Pay rate for Seattle based candidates is $20/hr based and may be different in other locations. Interns are eligible for limited benefits including paid company holidays.
Responsibilities:Market Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct research to identify potential enterprise clients and market trends
  • Analyze competitor products and marketing strategies focused on voice and message security
Marketing Campaigns:
  • Assist in the creation and execution of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, and content marketing
  • Develop marketing materials such as brochures, presentations, and case studies highlighting protection against voice and message attacks, including smishing
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
Sales Support:
  • Generate and qualify leads through various channels
  • Assist in developing sales pitches and proposals tailored to protecting enterprises from voice and message attacks
  • Participate in sales meetings and presentations with potential clients
  • Provide follow-up support to prospects and maintain a customer relationship management (CRM) database
Product Demonstrations:
  • Prepare and deliver product demonstrations to prospective clients
  • Highlight key features and benefits of the cyber security software, specifically focusing on voice and message attack prevention
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to align strategies and goals
  • Collaborate with the product development team to stay informed about new features and updates, especially those related to voice and message security.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Cyber Security, or a related field
  • Strong interest in cyber security and technology, with a specific focus on communication security
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Previous experience in sales or marketing (preferred but not required)
