We have around 10,000 sales people across the world, within market roles and ranging in areas like Field Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing and Category Development.
About The RoleAre you passionate about cultivating excellence in sales operations and driving business growth? As Reckitt's new Sales Operations Manager, you'll bring structure and clarity to sales processes, building an ecosystem that enables our team to succeed. In this role, you'll be the linchpin in transforming data into actionable strategies, directly influencing the dynamics of our market approach. We are seeking a leader with a passion for in-store excellence to dive into a role where your contribution makes an immediate impact.
Your responsibilities
In summary, you'll:
  • Customer Development: Build and develop strategic relationships with key customers; including, utilizing data and insights to communicate performance, opportunities for growth, and implementing solutions to drive our collective business goals.
  • Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational plans and initiatives to effectively execute the retail strategy, including sales targets, inventory management, store operations, visual merchandising, and consumer experience.
  • Store Performance Management: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess store performance, broker partner effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and develop action plans to drive sales, increase profitability, and enhance the overall consumer experience.
  • Retail Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of retail stores, ensuring compliance with Reckitt policies in assigned region. This includes managing broker effectiveness, internal staffing and development of Sales Leaders, store audits and ensuring adequate resources and support are available to meet business objectives.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Partner directly with Reckitt sales teams with effective communication and collaboration to ensure alignment and consistency in execution. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement new initiatives, promotions, and product launches. Provide influence leadership as a trusted partner and subject matter expert.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage the retail execution budget in assigned customers and geography ensuring effective allocation of resources and monitoring expenses. Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify variances, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Conduct market analysis and leverage data and insights to drive informed and innovative decision-making to develop strategies that gain a competitive edge. Partner with key customers to test assumptions and scale to accelerate growth.
The experience we're looking for
  • Minimum of 8 years' of progressive experience in retail operations, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple stores or regions with P&L accountability. Experience in a similar industry or retail segment is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, set clear expectations, and drive results. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Retail Expertise: In-depth knowledge of retail operations, including store management, visual merchandising, inventory management, and customer service. Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans to achieve business objectives. Strong analytical skills to evaluate data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong collaboration skills to foster cross-functional-BU teamwork.
  • Results Orientation: Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving operational efficiency, and improving customer satisfaction. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Business Acumen: Solid understanding of retail financials, budgeting, and P&L management. Knowledge of retail metrics and KPIs to assess performance and make informed business decisions.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using retail management systems, POS software, and other relevant retail technology platforms. Familiarity with data analytics tools and ERP (SAP) systems is a plus.

US salary ranges
USD $138,000.00 - $208,000.00
US pay transparency
The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
