Role Overview: We are actively seeking a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure for a contract role based in Sydney. This position is pivotal in maintaining and optimizing our Azure-based infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Terraform.
• Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable application delivery.
• Set up and configure monitoring tools to proactively identify and address issues.
• Implement robust alerting mechanisms for prompt incident response.
• Enforce security best practices and compliance standards for Azure environments.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues promptly and optimize Azure resources.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Azure solutions.
• Architect and implement serverless computing and function app deployments on Azure.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on Azure architecture and best practices.
• Stay updated on emerging Azure technologies and integrate them into our solutions.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization to maximize cloud infrastructure efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering and DevOps practices, specializing in Microsoft Azure.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Azure roles, managed identities, and service principles.
• Experience with Cosmos DB and Key Vault for data storage and security.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams.
• Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-300, AZ-301, and AZ-303) are advantageous.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform).
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Azure monitoring tools and a strong understanding of Azure security best practices.
