Reco NC is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Near Kinston, NC

Summary:

Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for uptime and effectiveness of all Reco NC’s plant equipment, machinery and other plant assets by performing the proper maintenance to keep the plant operating at its maximum efficiency.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintenance

o Inspects, operates or tests machinery as necessary to diagnose malfunctions and to keep the equipment operating effectively

o Utilize PM systems to reduce equipment downtime

o Crosstrain technicians to ensure communication between maintenance shifts and production departments is clear and effective

o Dismantles machines, equipment or devices to access and remove defective parts.

o Maintains and repairs specialized equipment

o Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems on all machinery and equipment

o Gathers adequate information to order parts, supplies or equipment as needed

o Plans and lays out repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals or schematics

· Facilities

o Maintain all company assets, including the building, machinery and equipment

o Performs equipment installations and connections to utilities as needed

o Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical or electronic components, piping systems, plumbing, machinery or equipment

o Performs routine maintenance of the buildings or properties

o Serve as a liason to outside vendors to represent the company for external services

Qualifications/Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree preferred.

Industry specific training in a related field (electronics, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC, robotics, etc.)

At least five years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering or maintenance role in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Ability to demonstrate trouble-shooting skills.

Ability to read/comprehend drawing and other written instructions.

Physical Requirements:

· Physical Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 6 hours per day and walk frequently.

· Physical Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements.

· Physical Ability to use close, distance, color and peripheral vision.

Working Environment:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to the potential of electrical shock and moving mechanical parts. The noise level of this environment is moderately to highly noisy. Employees are required to wear the proper PPE for the task. The temperature is comfortable, but areas of heat may be encountered.

· Occasional travel for 1–2-week periods internationally may be required. Less than 10% of the total working time.
