Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fashion Designer specializing in womenswear sizing, grading, and pattern making. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of garment construction, and a passion for ensuring consistent and impeccable fit across all our product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

-Design and Development:

- Create original womenswear designs, from concept to final product, ensuring they align with the brand’s aesthetic and customer needs.

- Develop and refine patterns for new styles, ensuring accuracy and consistency in fit and sizing.

- Sizing and Grading:

- Establish and maintain standard size charts for all product categories.

- Apply grading rules to patterns to create a full size range, ensuring proportional and consistent sizing.

- Conduct fittings and make necessary adjustments to patterns to achieve the desired fit.

- Pattern Making:

- Draft, drape, and digitize patterns using both traditional and computer-aided design (CAD) methods.

- Ensure patterns are production-ready, with clear specifications and instructions for manufacturing.

- Collaborate with sample makers and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve any pattern-related issues.

- Quality Control:

- Oversee the quality control process for fit and construction, conducting regular checks on samples and final products.

- Maintain detailed documentation of pattern adjustments and changes for reference and future use.

- Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with the design team, technical designers, and production staff to ensure seamless integration of designs into production.

- Communicate effectively with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure patterns are executed correctly and efficiently.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and pattern makers as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fashion design with a focus on womenswear, sizing, grading, and pattern making.

- Proficient in CAD software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, Adobe Illustrator or Optitex) and traditional pattern-making techniques.

- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fit.

- Excellent technical skills, with a meticulous eye for detail.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

- Passion for fashion and a deep understanding of current trends and market demands.
