Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Earthwork Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing project plans and specifications to determine accurate cost estimates. Your expertise in cost control and construction estimating will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our construction projects.

Responsibilities:

- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates

- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes

- Utilize software such as Agtek and Bluebeam to create detailed estimates

- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing

- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms

- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and identify areas for cost savings

- Provide support to project management team by reviewing change orders and assisting with value engineering initiatives

- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to construction estimating

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of earthwork/civil/sitework estimating principles and techniques

- Proficiency in using estimating software such as Agtek and Bluebeam

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail

- Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents

- Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers

- Solid understanding of project management principles in the construction industry

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred)

- Proven experience in construction estimating or related role

- Familiarity with construction industry standards, codes, and regulations

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Pay: $80,884.00 - $120,000.00 per year
