Title: Cloud Engineer
Client: Leading Interational IPP in the renewable energy industry that owns and operates large-scale solar, wind, and BESS projects across the globe.
Summary:
The Cloud Engineer has experience in AWS or Azure Cloud technologies with hands-on responsibility, creating, delivering, and managing the Infrastructure Architecture solutions. This position is responsible for assisting in the development of architecture standards and implementing the guidelines for are reliable, flexible, and resilient IT solutions that meet business requirements and SLAs.
Requirements:
• A minimum of two years of working knowledge in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS).
• Skills in cloud networking, including WAN integration and network peering.
• Ability to identify complications and escalate issues to the appropriate top cloud architect.
• Review past solutions in relation to business needs and engage the right Infrastructure technology experts or collaborate with vendor support engineering teams to resolve advanced issues.
• Identify global IT infrastructure system standards and security policies for cloud deployments and inform the relevant resources of any issues.
• Implement a range of IT infrastructure projects.
• Follow directions from Business Customers, IT Operations, Security, and Application teams to ensure seamless project and solution delivery.
• Possess a knowledgeable understanding of the risks and capabilities of IT architecture options and provide recommended solutions.
• Have an expert understanding of system performance and behavior and make reviewed adjustments to ensure optimal system performance.
• Work under supervision on complex issues, tracking both internal and external resources on infrastructure projects.
• Execute prescriptive remediations for established solutions.
• Receive training on operational procedures, technologies, and troubleshooting strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• A minimum of four years of experience in IT Infrastructure architecture, operations, and design.
• Experience managing cloud environments, On-Premises Data Centers, Azure, or AWS.
• Knowledge of IT operations, Security, disaster recovery, monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting in a Microsoft Windows Server environment.
• Familiarity with Cloud and Data Center technologies (AWS, Azure, Automation), including Terraform or similar, Infrastructure as Code, SAN, NAS.
